SVAND is one of five state affiliates of the Virginia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. We are comprised of registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs), dietetic interns, dietetic students and retired dietitians in the Southwest Virginia Region.
As registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) we reach out to the public in a variety of ways to educate our communities and promote nutrition and health. Our members serve our community in a variety of settings including acute care, long-term care, private homes, university education, private practice, and corporate wellness programs.
